Dr. Jeremy Varga, Owner

Dr. Jeremy VargaDr. Jeremy Varga joined the AVDH team in 2008 and became a partner in 2011. He was awarded top surgeon in the Texas A&M 2008 graduating class. Dr. Varga’s enthusiasm in embracing technology and his commitment to excellence makes him a rising star in national veterinary medicine. He has a special interest in gallbladder, liver and digestive diseases with pending publications on canine gallbladder disease.

In addition to his pending publication, Dr. Varga, along with Drs. Donop and Hurwitz are presenting his study to veterinarians statewide. Their presentation entitled: Gall Bladder Disease in Pets has been helping DVMs recognize and treat this common yet underdiagnosed disease. Additionally, due to their vast experience in utilizing CT technology, the doctors are presenting: Practical Uses of CT in Small Animal Medicine.

Dr. Varga trained under the neurosurgeon, Dr. Jonathan Levine at the Texas A&M Department of Veterinary Small Animals College of Veterinary Medicine. During which time he learned how to perform surgical hemilaminectomies, a procedure which repairs backs in companion animals. As such, Dr. Varga received his training under Board Certified Radiologist, Dr. Robert Cole of Animal Imaging, Irving, Texas.
