Cardiac Ultrasound

 

Patient: 10 year old, Male, Terrier Mix
Symptoms: Coughing, Fainting, Lethargy

After physical examination it was determined a cardiac ultrasound was indicated.

This ultrasound showed an enlarged heart resulting from a diseased Mitral Valve.

This 5 minute procedure did not require anesthesia or sedation.

Patient was prescribed cardiac medications.

Follow-up: Patient’s stamina and activity level significantly improved. Cough decreased. Patient’s quality of life was restored.
